A great companion for the Hitachi EX8000 hydraulic shovel is the EH5000 AC-3 electric drive haul truck, the largest in the Hitachi fleet. The 1:87th scale model has plenty of features, from the steering front axle, and detailed upper deck with electrical cabinet, cabin and retarder to the exhaust ports and mock engine with the generator visible. The large dump body uses a pair of three-stage hydraulic cylinders allowing it to tip to a realistic angle, nicely holding position while the rear axle has non-functional suspension detail and safety rope with rock knockers hanging from the underside of the body.
